This statement explains what types of personal information will be gathered when you visit this website and how this information will be used. Please note that although this website provides links to other web sites, this policy only applies to our own web pages.

Personal information is neither captured nor stored through this website without the prior consent of users. Where personal information is captured (eg. through web forms for enquiries etc.), the user will be informed as to what information is being captured and why. Any personal information that you provide to us will be used only for the purpose stated at the time we request it. We will not sell, license or trade your personal information to others. We do not provide your personal information to other organisations.

At the Casting Collective, we collect your personal data in order to perform our function of providing fast and efficient background casting for the film, television, commercials and photographic industries. We will only use this information subject to, data protection law, your instructions and our duty of confidentiality.

This Privacy Policy provides information for production professionals on what personal data we collect and why the limited conditions under which we may disclose it to others and how we keep it secure.

The Casting Collective, as a Data Controller is bound by the requirements of the General Data Protection Regulations (GDPR). We take your privacy seriously. We do not sell, distribute or lease your personal data to other companies and businesses.

The personal data we collect & how we use it

When we start working with you to provide extras / supporting artistes for your production we collect your personal data to enable us to get in touch and manage your enquiry. For example, we’ll ask for:

  • Your name
  • Your job title/job role
  • Your email address and contact number
  • Your postal address
  • The name of the production/organisation you work for
  • The type of industry you work in

This personal data is used to manage our relationship with you and fulfil contracts in regard to production agreements. You agree that we are entitled to obtain, use and process the personal data you provide to us to enable us to discharge the extra services (as defined in our Production Agreement)

We also collect and process information you provide when you choose to participate in feedback/service surveys.

Who has access to your data

The personal data that you provide to us is used for the purpose of fulfilling your casting brief. We limit the availability of your data only to employees who have a business need for the information. We take commercially reasonable technical and organisational precautions to prevent the loss, misuse or alteration of your personal information.

Third-party disclosure

We will never sell or share any of your details with any third party organisation for marketing purposes. This does not include our suppliers who assist us in conducting our business, so long as those parties agree to keep this information confidential. We may also release information when its release is appropriate to comply with the law.

Marketing

In order to keep you in the loop with information which may be of interest to you about our casting services, we will contact you occasionally throughout a calendar year. If you have consented to receive this communication, you may ‘opt out’ at any time. You have a right at any time to stop us from contacting you for marketing purposes.

How long we keep your data

We will not hold on to your personal data any longer than is necessary. We retain your data while you have on-going services with us. If you do not have any services with us your data may be held for a period of up to 7 years

  • The right to be informed that we will be processing your personal data – this will be done during our initial contact via the production agreement.
  • To request a copy of the data that we hold about you.
